The short version. This website collects one thing: an email address, only if you type it into the waitlist form. There are no analytics, no advertising trackers and no third-party cookies.
If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you submit and the time you submitted it. That is the entire record.
We use it for exactly one purpose: to email you once when TeleTan is available to try. No newsletter, no drip campaign, no sharing with anyone else.
Our web server records ordinary request logs in order to run and secure the service. Waitlist email addresses are deliberately excluded from application logs โ a log file full of the addresses of people interested in encrypted messaging is precisely the sort of list worth not keeping.
Confirmation email is sent through Resend, which processes your address in order to deliver that message. Nobody else receives it, and it is never sold, rented or shared for marketing.
Until TeleTan launches and we have sent that one email, or until you ask us to remove it โ whichever comes first. After launch the waitlist is deleted.
Email us and your address is deleted, no questions and no retention period.
This policy covers this website only. The app is a separate matter and will have its own policy at release. The short version there: your messages are end-to-end encrypted, the encryption keys are generated on your device and never uploaded, and the server stores encrypted messages only until your device collects them.
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold. Given that the data is a single email address, all three amount to the same short conversation.
